Welcome to my virtual home which is not quite the same as the real place
but it sure is much easier to redecorate whenever I get the urge. I wish changing
the wallpaper in my home was this easy not to mention changing the colour of a favourite
room. I was going to simulate my desk by scattering a few CD's around in here but I
decided it might be better if my room appears neat and tidy all the time. *smile*
About Me
I guess my interest in computers first started in early 1980 when I got hold of a
Sinclair 16K ZX81. It was very unstable and pretty much pot luck if you ever got a chance
to code anything onto tape without crashing. Eventually I did get to write my first
program. It was some income verses expenses thing that was totally useless but it was
enough for me to become hooked. Then came the Apple II's, this was luxury plus, a floppy
disk drive and 64K of ram, what more could a red blooded male get excited about. By 1984
my home computer was a English designed Amstrad although still a Z80 based CPU it had good
graphic capabilities and sound chip built in. It was early 86 when I acquired my first PC.
I remember it well, a XT clone with 30MB hard disk I thought I'd died and gone to heaven
even though everything in heaven looked amber. By then software was heading strongly
towards the PC and hardware was making quantum leaps. Meanwhile back in the 90's and six
PC's later I still get amazed by some of the things that are coming out on the market
today. For me, having seen all this technology advance over a few short years still
brings on "I have to have one of those" type craving when something new comes
out.
